תמונות פרופיל: השרת שלנו מזהה באופן אוטומטי איפה הפנים בתמונה כדי לחתוך תמונה ריבועית סביבן. הזיהוי נעשה בשרת שלנו בלבד, לא נשמרים נתונים ביומטריים ולא מתבצע זיהוי של מי האדם. מכל תמונה (בפרופיל ובצ'אט) נמחקים כל נתוני ה-EXIF, כולל מיקום GPS.
מפות: אריחי המפה נטענים ישירות מהמכשיר שלך משירות OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org, נתוני OpenStreetMap), ובגיבוי מ-tile.openstreetmap.org. השירותים האלה רואים את כתובת ה-IP שלך ואת אזור המפה שמוצג.
איננו מוכרים מידע אישי, איננו משתמשים בפרסומות או בכלי מעקב, ואיננו ניגשים לאנשי הקשר שלך.
מיקום במפה, צ'ק-אין וחסימה
צ'ק-אין ידני בכל פעם. בכל פתיחה של האפליקציה את/ה מוסתר/ת, ואף אחד לא רואה אותך במפה. רק אחרי שתלחץ/י בעצמך על „אני כאן, תראו אותי” תופיע/י לאנשים בסביבה, ורק כל עוד האפליקציה פתוחה, וגם עד 2 דקות אחרי שעוברים לאפליקציה אחרת או נועלים את המסך. כשסוגרים את האפליקציה, עוברים לאפליקציה אחרת או נועלים את המסך, נשארים גלויים לכל היותר 2 דקות; חוזרים בזמן – נשארים גלויים, אחרת את/ה מוסתר/ת ובפתיחה הבאה צריך ללחוץ שוב. המיקום לא מתעדכן ברקע בזמן הזה. אין צ'ק-אין אוטומטי ואין הגדרה שמפעילה אותו.
הסכמה להצגת מיקום. בפעם הראשונה שתלחץ/י על „אני כאן” נבקש את הסכמתך להציג אותך במפה. אפשר לסרב ולהמשיך להשתמש באפליקציה (לראות מי בסביבה, הצ'אט, הפרופיל) בלי שיראו אותך. אפשר להסתתר שוב בכל רגע בלחיצה על „הסתר אותי”.
חסימת משתמשים. אפשר לחסום כל משתמש מהפרופיל שלו או מהצ'אט. אחרי חסימה שניכם לא רואים זה את זה במפה וברשימות, ואי אפשר לשלוח הודעות או להתקשר בין שניכם. המשתמש החסום לא מקבל הודעה על כך. את רשימת החסומים ואת ביטול החסימה אפשר לנהל בפרופיל. אפשר גם לדווח על משתמש (סעיף 4).
2. שיתוף מידע
- ספקי שירות שמעבדים מידע עבורנו: אחסון שרתים בענן; שליחת SMS ואימות טלפון (כשיופעלו); שירותי התראות של Apple ו-Google (כולל Google Firebase כשיופעל); שירותי המפות שבסעיף 1; שרתי STUN של Google לחיבור שיחות. הם רשאים להשתמש במידע רק לצורך השירות.
- משתמשים אחרים רואים רק את מה שמפורט בטבלה.
- רשויות כשהדין מחייב, או כדי להגן על שלומו של אדם.
- חלק מספקי השירות נמצאים מחוץ לישראל, ולכן מידע עשוי לעבור לחו"ל בהתאם לדין.
3. שמירת מידע
- חשבון ופרופיל: עד מחיקת החשבון.
- מיקום: נשמר רק המיקום האחרון ומוחלף בכל עדכון. אחרי 7 ימים בלי עדכון לא מוצגים יותר לאחרים.
- הודעות וקבצים: עד שאחד הצדדים מוחק את החשבון.
- קודי אימות: עד 10 דקות. דיווחים שטופלו: עד שנה. יומני שרת וגיבויים נשמרים לזמן מוגבל, רק לצורך אבטחה ושחזור.
- חשבון אורח נמחק אוטומטית אחרי 24 שעות.
- כתובות IP: נשמרות לצורכי אבטחה ומניעת שימוש לרעה, עד 90 יום.
4. דיווחים ופיקוח
אפשר לדווח על משתמש מתוך האפליקציה. כשמוגש דיווח, צוות הפיקוח שלנו רשאי לעיין בהודעות שבין המדווח/ת לבין המשתמש/ת שדווח/ה, כדי לבדוק את הדיווח. אנחנו בודקים דיווחים תוך 24 שעות, ויכולים להסיר תוכן, להשעות או לחסום חשבון.
5. הזכויות שלך
- מחיקת חשבון בכל רגע: פרופיל > מחיקת חשבון (עובד גם בלי הרשאת מיקום), או בדף מחיקת חשבון, או במייל. נמחקים הפרופיל, התמונות, המיקום, ההודעות והקבצים, הקשרים ומזהי ההתראות.
- עיון, תיקון ומחיקה לפי חוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ"א-1981, ולמשתמשים באיחוד האירופי לפי ה-GDPR, בפנייה ל-nearu@nearu.co.il.
- הסתתרות מאנשים מסוימים, חסימה, מצב בלתי נראה, טשטוש מיקום, "התנתקות מכל המכשירים".
- אפשר לכבות מיקום, מצלמה, מיקרופון והתראות בהגדרות הטלפון (המיקום נדרש לתכונות הסביבה).
6. גיל
Near u מיועדת לבני 18 ומעלה. חשבונות של קטינים יוסרו.
7. אבטחה
הצפנת HTTPS/TLS לכל התעבורה, שיחות מוצפנות (DTLS-SRTP), הגבלות קצב והגנות נגד בוטים, גישה מוגבלת לשרתים. אין מערכת מאובטחת ב-100%. נודיע לך ולרשויות על אירוע אבטחה כנדרש בחוק.

Who we are. Near u is operated by BOAZ GOLAN MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCTIONS LTD (Israeli company no. 516772696), 27 Herzl, Kiryat Ata 2808841, Israel. Contact: nearu@nearu.co.il. The company is the controller of the personal data described here.
1. What we collect and who sees it

Profile photos: our server automatically detects where the face is in a photo to crop a square picture around it. This runs only on our server; no biometric data is stored and no one is identified. All EXIF metadata, including GPS location, is removed from every photo (profile and chat).
Maps: map tiles are loaded directly by your device from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org, OpenStreetMap data), with tile.openstreetmap.org as a fallback. These services see your IP address and the map area shown.
We do not sell personal data, we use no advertising or tracking tools, and we do not access your contacts.
Location on the map, check-in and blocking
Manual check-in every time. Every time you open the app you are hidden and no one sees you on the map. Only after you tap “I'm here – show me” yourself do you appear to people nearby, and only while the app is open, and for up to 2 minutes after you switch to another app or lock the screen. When you close the app, switch to another app or lock the screen you stay visible for at most 2 minutes (your location is not updated in the background); if you come back in time you stay visible, otherwise you are hidden and have to tap again the next time you open it. There is no automatic check-in and no setting that turns it on.
Consent to display your location. The first time you tap “I'm here” we ask for your consent to show you on the map. You can decline and keep using the app (see who is nearby, chat, profile) without being visible. You can hide again at any moment with “Hide me”.
Blocking users. You can block any user from their profile or from the chat. After a block neither of you can see the other on the map or in lists, and neither of you can message or call the other. The blocked user is not notified. You can see and undo blocks in your profile. You can also report a user (section 4).
2. Sharing
- Service providers processing data for us: cloud server hosting; SMS and phone verification (once enabled); Apple and Google push services (including Google Firebase once enabled); the map services in section 1; Google STUN servers for connecting calls. They may use the data only to provide their service.
- Other users see only what the table describes.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
- Some providers are outside Israel, so data may be transferred abroad as permitted by law.
3. Retention
- Account and profile: until you delete your account.
- Location: only your latest position, overwritten on each update. After 7 days without an update you are no longer shown.
- Messages and files: until either participant deletes their account.
- Verification codes: up to 10 minutes. Handled reports: up to 1 year. Server logs and backups are kept for a limited time, only for security and recovery.
- Guest accounts are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
- IP addresses: stored for security and abuse prevention, for up to 90 days.
4. Reports and moderation
You can report a user from within the app. When a report is filed, our moderators may review the messages between the reporter and the reported user to assess it. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, suspend or ban accounts.
5. Your rights
- Delete your account at any time: Profile > Delete account (works without location permission), on the account deletion page, or by email. This deletes your profile, photos, location, messages and files, connections and push tokens.
- Access, correction and deletion under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and for EU users under the GDPR: nearu@nearu.co.il.
- Hide from specific people, block, invisible mode, location blur, "log out of all devices".
- Turn off location, camera, microphone or notifications in your phone settings (location is needed for the nearby features).
6. Age
Near u is for people aged 18 and over. Accounts of minors are removed.
7. Security
HTTPS/TLS for all traffic, encrypted calls (DTLS-SRTP), rate limits and anti-bot protections, restricted server access. No system is 100% secure. We will notify you and the authorities of a breach as required by law.
8. Changes and contact
